Never The Same, Always

Water that inspirits life,

In time will cleave the stone.

Fire that gives birth to light,

Enflames the blackened soul.

Earth and sky and aether winds,

Mold and shape and ravage.

As ashes nourish fertile ground,

And reclaim the land, undamaged.

Cycles up, and cycles down,

Beginnings without endings.

All things wash away in time,

Arising, then descending.

Nothing can escape, untouched

Nothing untouched, remains.

As even nothingness itself,

Must yield and fall away.
