Time exchanged
For treasure.
Life blood
Bartered away
For praise.
Pride and money
Have been greedy
Black holes.
Apostles to
My absence,
Witnesses to
My crimes.
But a rare chance
Interceded.
To begin again,
To gather,
To renew.
A moment
Recaptured,
As if from
Youth,
Long gone.
And so begins
This day
Stirred to action,
Rekindled by
The very thought,
The abiding love, of
You.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king – J.R.R. Tolkien
