Wonders
-In honor of Saints Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, Zelie and Louis

When Mary calls for miracles, there’s dandelions, too,
For marigolds are what she holds when wind goes whispering through.

Her roses bloom and daisies dance, while dandelion seeds
Arise aloft upon the breath of all her flower’s needs.

Her daffodils and lilies laugh and crush the seprent’s head
When lilacs on the tombs all watch for rising of the dead,
As seeds of dandelions land around carnation beds.

As all the flowers take delight, like Solomon’s fine robes
When Sheba’s Queen was come to grant the wisdom that she knows,

The dandelions all take root and grow toward the Sun
And show the weeds they’ll steal no soil where miracles have come.
