Fides et Ratio

Fides et Ratio

Like two wings of a bird,
faith and reason both
cooperate for flight.

Let me show you what I mean.
Let me show you three things.
Look around you.

Do you see the rays of light
or only the objects off of which
they are reflected?

Observe this three-faced
glass prism which I place
here upon your surface.

Do you see the continuity
of the degrees of goodness of the light
stretching out across creation?

Do you see, yet, what I mean?
How you need all three to see the one,
and how through one, you see all three?
