When You Come Into Your Kingdom
let me have mercy on you.
It has been so long
since you knew what to do.
In your exile, with decay
you’ve turned away
your wound of me is of ours
is of others is of yours
inflicted and inflicting and self inflicting
the decay exacerbating the decay.
Turn, oh sinner, far away, and see me,
upon the tree, the wounds that you inflict
I take upon me for you, for you to see,
for you to say, “He is innocent and I am guilty!
Jesus, remember me!” Oh let me, sinner,
oh my beloved, so in pain, let me have mercy.
