February Rains


Watching from my second floor window on this cool, damp, February day, I can’t help but notice that the rain seems hard at work on some elementary musical arrangement – as if already auditioning for its upcoming spring celebration rather than preparing for next week’s threatened ice storms.
Even the winter finds it difficult to linger these days, much like me.
But I suppose that I should be grateful that I took a minute to just listen in . .
