of losing love
or of losing
possessions,
only the latter
brings angst,

of losing love,

assuredly
embraces us
all the more,
but for fear
of losing things,
that they will come to loss
is already assured
since the first man
was asked
where he was,
that is,
since the first man
put himself
at a loss
for which
only the beloved
can provide.
