The Muslim Community Won’t Bury Them, But We Should


The Muslim community of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, Normandy has publicly announced that they will not attend to the burials of the two men responsible for the grisly murder of Fr. Jacques Hamel this past week. It is well and good that they have done so. The public disavowal of their heinous deeds cannot possibly be said in louder terms than an imam and his community refusing to prepare remains for burial. I was raised fortunate enough to have wonderful Muslim friends, and so I know how devastating such a proclamation will be
